- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Preparing and cooking food

Application Steps
- Pre-Assessment PSA
- JRE, registers employer information and checks whether the applicant's work situation meets the requirements;
- JRWA, the assessor inspects and tests the applicant to check the work ability and whether the workplace meets the requirements;
- JRFA, upon completion, is assessed.
Skills Assessment Requirements
Applicants are required to have academic qualifications related to the nominated position: Diploma completed in Australia / AQFⅢ/Ⅳ compeleted in Australia 104 weeks of study in Australia
Language Requirements
Language score requirement: 4 IELTS scores of 6 in each subject
Work requirements
Applicants are required to have: at least 52 weeks of post-graduation work experience in Australia related to the nominated position
Academic requirements
- Completed two years of Australian chef courses;
- Overseas chef training course + 3 years of full-time chef work experience
- No chef training courses overseas + 5 years of full-time chef work experience
