Job Description
- Administering a variety of neurological, musculoskeletal and functional tests to identify and assess physical problems and ailments of patients
- Planning and discussing effective management of patients' dysfunction
- Designing, reviewing, monitoring, assessing and evaluating treatment programs
- Assisting and improving the function of all body systems such as musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, endocrine and genitourinary systems
- Recording detailed patient medical histories, treatments delivered and the patients' responses and progress to treatments
- Referring patients to specialists and liaising with other Health Professionals in relation to patients' problems, needs and progress
- Educating patients, their partners, family and friends in therapeutic procedures, such as home exercises and lifestyle changes, to enhance patients' health and wellbeing

Skill Assessment
Application Steps
- The first stage is the desktop audit application, which is conducted in the candidate's country of residence. The desktop audit is used to evaluate the candidate's qualifications and skills to determine if they are qualified; there are five different types of applicants. Please select the appropriate form based on the applicant's country of origin and the certification status of the chiropractic program you have completed.
- Stage 2 is used to determine whether the candidate has the ability to practise safely and competently in accordance with the current Australian and New Zealand entry-level chiropractic competencies;
- The three-part assessment process:
- Part 1 – Written Basic Skills
- Part 2 – Written Clinical Competencies
- Part 3 – Practical Clinical Skills
- The test results will be sent to the applicant by email within 28 days, and the official notification will be mailed to the applicant within 4 weeks.
Skills Assessment Requirements
Circumstances for exemption from assessment: 1. Graduated from an institution recognized by CCE, exempted from written examination;
2. If you have taken the CCEA proficiency test within the past two years and your score in a certain item exceeds the passing score by more than 15%, you will be exempted from the examination of these items when you take the test again;
3. Applicants who graduated from Macquarie University, RMIT University (Bundoora Campus), Murdoch University or the New Zealand College are exempt from the second stage assessment and only need to participate in the first stage assessment;
4. Those who hold an Australian New Zealand annual practice certificate are exempt from the second stage assessment and only need to take the first stage assessment.
Academic requirements
- 1. A degree equivalent to a Bachelor of Chiropractic or higher in the Australian Qualifications Framework OR a qualification from a recognised chiropractic body;
- 2. The course includes curriculum, theoretical teaching, time and clinical practice similar to the Australian entry-level level;
- 3. Possess a chiropractic qualification that is recognized as formal registration/license in the country of training, or membership in a professional association;
- 4. Be registered in the country of training or practice and have a good professional reputation. If you are a new graduate, you need to meet the registration requirements of your home country.
