Job Description
- Planning and implementing leisure activity programs for individuals in health care and in the community to assist in their social development, and promote their sense of wellbeing
- Identifying individual needs through task analysis
- Evaluating and assessing clients' levels of abilities, interests, needs, strengths and weaknesses, and their ability to carry out a range of tasks and interact with others
- Maintaining a knowledge of resources available within a facility and within the community
- Organising leisure and recreational events
- Assisting with training and supervising volunteers and staff
- Providing information on available support resources within the local community
- Encouraging and supporting clients to take part in activities suited to their particular needs and interests
- Adapting programs to suit individual clients' needs, interests, skills and abilities

Application Steps
- Select a nominated occupation for assessment based on the purpose of your visa application;
- Through the VETASSESS online application system, fill in the form, deduct the fee, and upload the documents;
- Track the progress of your application and follow its status;
- If additional documents are required, VETASSESS will send an email notification;
- After completing your skills assessment application, you can view the results and download the result letter in the VETASSESS online application system. A copy of the result letter will not be mailed to you unless you request it in your skills assessment application and pay for the postage.

Work requirements
- The major is highly relevant, with at least one year of relevant work experience after graduation in the past five years;
- The major is not highly relevant, and at least two years of relevant work experience after graduation in the past five years;
- If you do not have a diploma equivalent to an Australian Level 4 Certificate, but have an Australian Level 3 Certificate that is highly relevant to your nominated occupation, you will need to have at least three years of relevant post-graduation work experience in the past five years.
