Job Description
- Conducting experiments and tests to identify the chemical composition and reactive properties of natural substances and processed materials
- Analysing and conducting research to develop theories, techniques and processes, and testing the reliability of outcomes under different conditions
- Developing practical applications of experimental and research findings
- Testing food products for flavour, colour, taste, texture and nutritional content
- Advising on preserving, processing, packaging, storing and delivering foods
- Developing quality control procedures and safety standards for the manufacture of food products
- Examining grape samples to assess ripeness, sugar and acid content, and determining suitability for processing
- Coordinating winemaking processes, directing workers in testing and crushing grapes, fermenting juices, and fortifying, clarifying, maturing and finishing wines
- Blending wines according to formulae and knowledge of winemaking techniques

Application Steps
- Select a nominated occupation for assessment based on the purpose of your visa application;
- Through the VETASSESS online application system, fill in the form, deduct the fee, and upload the documents;
- Track application progress and follow application status
- If additional documents are required, VETASSESS will send an email notification;
- After completing the skills assessment application, you can view the results and download the result letter in the VETASSESS online application system. A copy of the result letter will generally not be mailed to you unless you request it in the skills assessment application and pay the postage.

Work requirements
- In the past 5 years, you must have at least 1 year of post-graduate work experience that is highly relevant to your academic qualifications. Only paid, full-time work experience can be recognized (internships, work during doctoral studies (partially subsidized by the school), and other part-time work are not considered work experience).
Academic requirements
- Bachelor degree or above. (If the applicant does not have a degree certificate, he/she cannot apply for Group A job evaluation);
- The academic degree and major are highly relevant to the nominated occupation;
Language Requirements
- No need to provide proof of English language proficiency
