Job Description
- Defining, analysing and solving complex financial and business problems relating to areas such as insurance premiums, annuities, superannuation funds, pensions and dividends
- Examining financial projections for general insurance companies, finance companies, government and other organisations
- Designing new types of policies, assessing risks and analysing investments in life insurance, superannuation funds, health insurance, friendly societies, financial markets and other areas
- Formulating mathematical models to simulate processes
- Applying models to experimental observations, and adjusting and recasting the models
- Using numerical analysis methods to develop algorithms and perform computations
- Liaising with management and clients to determine the subject or area to be surveyed or examined
- Specifying the data to be collected, and the methodology to be used in collection and analysis
- Evaluating and describing the reliability and utility of source information
- Analysing and interpreting data, and producing relevant statistics to describe and infer particular trends and patterns

Application Steps
- Select a nominated occupation for assessment based on the purpose of your visa application;
- Through the VETASSESS online application system, fill in the form, deduct the fee, and upload the documents;
- Track application progress and follow application status
- If additional documents are required, VETASSESS will send an email notification;
- After completing the skills assessment application, you can view the results and download the result letter in the VETASSESS online application system. A copy of the result letter will generally not be mailed to you unless you request it in the skills assessment application and pay the postage.

Work requirements
- In the past 5 years, you must have at least 1 year of post-graduate work experience that is highly relevant to your academic qualifications. Only paid, full-time work experience can be recognized (internships, work during doctoral studies (partially subsidized by the school), and other part-time work are not considered work experience).
Academic requirements
- Bachelor degree or above. (If the applicant does not have a degree certificate, he/she cannot apply for Group A job evaluation);
- The academic degree and major are highly relevant to the nominated occupation;
Language Requirements
- No need to provide proof of English language proficiency
