Job Description
- Studying functional statements, organisational charts and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication
- Establishing work measurement programs and analysing work samples to develop standards for labour utilisation
- Analysing workforce utilisation, facility layout, operational data and production schedules and costs to determine optimum worker and equipment efficiencies
- Designing mechanical equipment, machines, components, products for manufacture, and plant and systems for construction
- Developing specifications for manufacture, and determining materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities and layout of plant and systems
- Organising and managing project labour and the delivery of materials, plant and equipment
- Establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations
- Inspecting plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained
- Directing the maintenance of plant buildings and equipment, and coordinating the requirements for new designs, surveys and maintenance schedules

Application Steps
- 1. Register an account and password through myPortal to obtain EA ID (EA ID, CID and membership number are the same number);
- 2. Log in to myPortal, select Apply for Immigration Skills Assessment, and fill in the form (the uploaded supporting documents must be color scans of the original documents);
- 3. Pay the application fee online and submit;
- 4. After the application is completed, you can check the notification and track the application status in "My Homepage";
- 5. If any information or additional materials need to be modified during the review, you will be notified by email and must reply within the specified time, otherwise your application will be cancelled;
- 6. The evaluation results will be sent to the applicant via email.
Skills Assessment Requirements
Language Requirements
- (1) IELTS score of no less than 6 in each section, either Category A or Category G is acceptable;
- (2) TOEFL: Listening 12, Reading 13, Writing 21, Speaking 18.
- Note: The results are valid for two years. If you have completed an undergraduate degree, master's or doctoral degree in engineering at an Australian university, or are a native English speaker, you can be exempted from the language test.

Non-recognized academic qualifications require 3 CDR reports for certification and evaluation
Academic requirements
- Professional Engineer Professional Engineer, requires a 4-year undergraduate engineering degree
- Engineering Technologist Engineering Technologist, requires a 3-year undergraduate degree in engineering
- Engineering Associate, requires a two-year associate degree in engineering
- Engineering Manager, requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering-related or higher
Work requirements
- Among the above four types of occupations, the first three do not require work experience, but providing it will be more conducive to career assessment;
- The Engineering Manager is a senior executive position involved in engineering strategic policy and planning for an organization, requiring at least three years of management experience; work experience must be demonstrated through letters of recommendation and an organizational chart.
