Job Description
- Creating melodic, harmonic and rhythmic structures to express ideas and emotions in musical form
- Translating ideas and concepts into standard musical signs and symbols for reproduction and performance
- Undertaking research and liaising with clients when composing musical backing for television commercials, popular recordings, and radio, television and film productions
- Auditioning and selecting musicians and Singers
- Selecting music for performances and assigning instrumental parts to musicians
- Directing musical groups at rehearsals and performances to achieve desired effects such as tonal and harmonic balance, rhythm and tempo
- Studying and rehearsing repertoire and musical scores prior to performances
- Playing music in recital, as an accompanist, or as a member of an orchestra, band or other musical group, from score and by memory
- Performing music and songs according to interpretation, direction and style of presentation, using highly developed aural skills to reproduce music

Application Steps
- Select a nominated occupation for assessment based on the purpose of your visa application;
- Through the VETASSESS online application system, fill in the form, deduct the fee, and upload the documents;
- Track the progress of your application and pay attention to its status;
- If additional documents are required, VETASSESS will send an email notification;
- After completing the skills assessment application, you can view the results and download the result letter in the VETASSESS online application system. A copy of the result letter will generally not be mailed to you unless you request it in the skills assessment application and pay the postage.
Skills Assessment Requirements
Note: If the applicant's work experience is pre-graduation experience, at least 5 years of highly relevant experience is required, and at least 1 year of work experience in the last 5 years must meet the corresponding technical requirements.
Academic requirements
- 1. Possess a bachelor's degree or above, with a major highly related to the nominated occupation, and at least 1 year of work experience highly related to the nominated occupation in the past 5 years;
- 2. Possess a bachelor's degree or above, although the major of the bachelor's degree is not highly related to the nominated occupation, but also have a college degree that is highly related to the nominated occupation, and have at least 2 years of work experience that is highly related to the nominated occupation in the past 5 years;
- 3. Possess a bachelor's degree or above. Although the major of the bachelor's degree is not highly related to the nominated occupation, you must have at least 3 years of work experience highly related to the nominated occupation in the past 5 years.
