Job Description
- Evaluating habitat, wildlife and fisheries needs, and formulating short- and long-term management goals and objectives
- Enforcing laws and regulations to conserve and protect fish and wildlife
- Carrying out environmental impact assessments for a wide range of development projects
- Proposing solutions to address negative environmental impact
- Studying the effects of factors, such as terrain, altitude, climatic and environmental change, sources of nutrition, predators and the impacts of humans, on animal and plant life
- Studying and analysing pollution, atmospheric conditions, demographic characteristics, ecology, mineral, soil and water samples
- Developing conservation and management policies for biological resources, such as fish populations and forests, and establishing standards and developing approaches for the control of pollution and the rehabilitation of areas disturbed by activities such as mining, timber felling and overgrazing
- Implementing policies and organising activities in designated parks and other areas to conserve and protect natural and cultural heritage
- Participating in management planning by providing environmental information and making inventories of plants, animals and items of cultural and heritage significance

Application Steps
- Select a nominated occupation for assessment based on the purpose of your visa application;
- Through the VETASSESS online application system, fill in the form, deduct the fee, and upload the documents;
- Track application progress and follow application status
- If additional documents are required, VETASSESS will send an email notification;
- After completing the skills assessment application, you can view the results and download the result letter in the VETASSESS online application system. A copy of the result letter will generally not be mailed to you unless you request it in the skills assessment application and pay the postage.

Work requirements
- In the past 5 years, you must have at least 1 year of post-graduate work experience that is highly relevant to your academic qualifications. Only paid, full-time work experience can be recognized (internships, work during doctoral studies (partially subsidized by the school), and other part-time work are not considered work experience).
Academic requirements
- Bachelor degree or above. (If the applicant does not have a degree certificate, he/she cannot apply for Group A job evaluation);
- The academic degree and major are highly relevant to the nominated occupation;
Language Requirements
- No need to provide proof of English language proficiency
