Job Description
- Researching, consulting, analysing and evaluating system program needs
- Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods
- Testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults in an applications programming language within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification
- Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards
- Writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures
- Providing advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design activities such as financial evaluation and costings for recommending software purchases and upgrades

Language Requirements
- There is no English proficiency requirement for ACS career assessment, so applicants can prepare their English scores while preparing for the career assessment.
Academic requirements
- Bachelor's degree: Complete at least 33% of ICT-related courses in a three-year undergraduate program;
- Bachelor's degree: Complete at least 25% of ICT-related courses in a four-year undergraduate program;
- Bachelor's degree: Complete at least 20% of ICT-related courses in a five-year undergraduate program;
- College degree: Complete at least 50% of ICT courses;
- Master's degree: For a two-year master's program with a minor in ICT, you need to complete at least 50% of ICT-related courses;
- Master's degree: For a two-year master's program with a major in ICT, you need to complete at least 33% of ICT-related courses;
- For non-ICT related college or above, an RPL project report + any 6-8 years of relevant work experience is required.
