Application Steps
- Select a nominated occupation for assessment based on the purpose of your visa application;
- Through the VETASSESS online application system, fill in the form, deduct the fee, and upload the documents;
- Track the progress of your application and pay attention to its status;
- If additional documents are required, VETASSESS will send an email notification;
- After completing the skills assessment application, you can view the results and download the result letter in the VETASSESS online application system. A copy of the result letter will generally not be mailed to you unless you request it in the skills assessment application and pay the postage.
Skills Assessment Requirements
Work requirements
- 1. If the major is highly relevant, at least one year of relevant work experience after graduation in the past five years;
- 2. If the major of the specialist degree is not highly relevant to the nominated occupation, you need to have an Australian Level 4 certificate that is highly relevant to the nominated occupation, and at least one year of relevant work experience after graduation in the past five years;
- 3. If the major is not highly relevant, at least two years of relevant work experience after graduation in the past five years is required;
- 4. If the applicant’s relevant work experience is before obtaining a college degree, a total of 3 years of relevant work experience is required, of which 1 year must be within the past 5 years.

- - AQF Advanced Diploma
- - AQF Associate Degree or
- - AQF Graduate Diploma
- AQF diploma and above, including qualifications assessed at AQF Bachelor, Masters and PhD levels.
