The Skilling Australia report pointed out that vocational education graduates earn an average median salary that is 2000 Australian dollars higher than that of undergraduate graduates.
At first glance, this is quite surprising, but the shortage of skilled workers in Australia has always existed, and the market supply shortage also determines the high salary nature of technical practitioners.
TAFE graduates, or undergraduate graduates who have upgraded through TAFE, have higher employment rates and faster employment speeds than undergraduate graduates. The report found that the employment rate of undergraduate graduates is about 67%, while the corresponding data for TAFE graduates is about 80%.
For example, the very popular light vehicle repair major, students will use the same equipment as the industry, conduct a lot of practice, to ensure that students can quickly get started after graduation and have competitiveness in the job market.

If some students are still unsure whether they need to pursue a bachelor's degree, many majors at TAFE Queensland can help you prepare for both.
Most diploma courses, after graduation, students will receive credit exemptions and enter the second year of study at the cooperative university. TAFE courses are easy to understand, summarizing principles from operations, which is more conducive to understanding.
Moreover, many students who upgrade to a bachelor's degree through TAFE are still interning at companies recommended by TAFE during their undergraduate studies, so that by the time they graduate from undergraduate school, they already have more than 2 years of work experience.
For example, the widely recognized Western cuisine and hotel management majors, not only the course settings include theory and a lot of practice, helping students to get in touch with the industry earlier; students can also continue their undergraduate studies after graduation with credit exemptions.
