TAFE Queensland

Australia's agriculture and animal husbandry are well-developed, making it the world's fourth largest exporter of agricultural products. It is known as the "country riding on the sheep's back" and the "country holding a wheat stalk".

Agriculture is one of the four leading industries in Australia's economy and has long achieved highly mechanized and institutionalized management.

China is also a major agricultural country with a thriving import and export trade of agricultural and sideline products, and it places great emphasis on agricultural transformation. Facing the yellow earth and turning one's back to the sky is no longer the theme of agriculture. Scientific management, mechanized farming, and sustainable development are the future of agricultural development.

Agriculture has always been a niche subject for studying in Australia, but this course is actually very practical and full of potential.

Australia's agriculture has long achieved high mechanization. A field of several thousand acres can often be managed effortlessly by one person.

In addition, both Australia and China have accelerated the transformation from family-based to corporate agricultural operations, with many companies already listed or joining the international trade tide.

Therefore, in addition to learning farm management, the overall operation of the agricultural and animal husbandry industry and agricultural business management are also indispensable.

There are more than 20,000 large and small farms in Queensland, and agriculture is very developed, with a thriving import and export trade of agricultural and sideline products. Agricultural and sideline products, such as wine and beef, have always been popular among domestic consumers.

The Toowoomba campus where the agricultural courses are located is in the center of Toowoomba, with convenient transportation and moderate living costs. It is only 1.5 - 2 hours' drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This area is located in Darling Downs, near Lockyer Valley, which is one of the main contributing regions of Australian agriculture.

There are many companies engaged in agriculture, agricultural product processing and sales, import and export, etc., and the unemployment rate, especially the unemployment rate of agricultural-related occupations, is very low.

The sustainable development of agriculture also离不开 the maintenance and management of land. In fact, environmental protection has been a hot topic in social development in the past two decades.
