TAFE Queensland

Executive Director of International Janelle Chapman and Community Friends Mark McDonnell, who donated a large amount of food

We know this is a very difficult time, especially for international students studying abroad. To show our support, TAFE Queensland has been distributing free food and care packages to international students across the state over the past few weeks, hoping to support each other and get through this difficult time together!

In the first three days of the program, we distributed food to more than 200 international students at the South Bank campus in Brisbane.

Meanwhile, similar activities were also carried out at the SkillsTech, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Bundaberg, and Cairns campuses to support more international students.

TAFE Queensland has been continuously purchasing various long-lasting foods, and our hospitality team has also been preparing take-out food for international students.

At the same time, we are very grateful for the strong support of the local community for international students. We have received a lot of canned food, fresh fruits, personal hygiene products and other supplies donated by communities across Queensland.

If needed, students can pick up at each campus with their student ID. For the collection locations and times of each campus, please pay attention to the notifications in emails and the websites of each campus.

If you know any international students in difficulty, please contact the TAFE Queensland International Department as soon as possible:

In addition, if you would like to donate non-perishable food, such as canned and frozen food, or supermarket shopping vouchers and meal vouchers, you can send them to the Customer Service Offices of each campus, or contact us directly by email.

TAFE Queensland is very grateful for the support from all sectors, and we will continue to take various measures to support the life and study of international students in Australia. Let's work together to overcome the difficulties!
