As you may already know, Australian Prime Minister Morrison, Foreign Minister Payne, Home Affairs Minister Dutton, and Health Minister Hunt issued a joint press release on February 1, announcing the latest temporary entry restrictions and travel advice:

From today, non-Australian citizens (excluding Australian permanent residents) who have left or transited through mainland China in the past 14 days will not be able to enter Australia. Australian citizens and permanent residents, and their immediate family members (limited to spouses, legal guardians, or children) can still enter. Airline crew members who have used appropriate personal protective measures are also exempt from this restriction. This is a temporary measure, and the Australian government will review it again within 14 days. We will also require Australian citizens and permanent residents, and their family members who have been to mainland China to self-isolate for 14 days after leaving mainland China upon entering Australia. In addition, the travel advice for mainland China has been raised to Level 4 - 'Do not travel'. In addition, according to the requirements of the Queensland Government Health Department, students who have entered before February 1, if you have traveled or departed from mainland China and Hong Kong, please self-isolate at home for 14 days from the date of departure before reporting to school, during which please do not go out or receive visitors.
