**Animal Studies Certificate III and Animal Care Certificate IV

TAFE Queensland, in collaboration with institutions and companies including Dreamworld, a theme park on the Gold Coast, provides students with unique internship opportunities. TAFE Queensland students also have the opportunity to gain experience in clinical animal care, animal meal preparation, cleaning Dingo and their enclosures, koala feeding and quarantine under the guidance of the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation (DWF).
The Animal Studies Certificate III is the perfect entry point, covering a wide range of subjects that lay a solid foundation for future work and further study.
Students will learn basic anatomy, physiology, care, nutrition, and behavior of various animals; methods of monitoring, capturing, restraining, and transporting animals; assisting in animal medical procedures; and wildlife care.
During their studies, students also have the opportunity to put their knowledge and skills into practice through internships.

Our teaching team is passionate and experienced, providing students with one-on-one guidance. Successful completion of the course will qualify students to become animal trainers, animal health inspectors, veterinary nurses, and pet industry professionals.
If you want to focus more on animal care, you can choose to study the Animal Studies Certificate III/Animal Care Certificate IV packaged course.
The Animal Care Certificate IV focuses on the study of animal medical care and nursing. Students will systematically learn knowledge and skills related to animal surgery preparation, assisting in surgery, animal care under anesthesia, animal X-rays, animal teeth, and more.

TAFE Queensland has industry-standard facilities and equipment for students to practice and learn, including a complete animal clinic with an operating room and X-ray room. In addition, the school's strong industry connections will help students gain valuable internship experience, helping them achieve employment upon graduation.
Currently, Australia has at least 24 million pets, with an expected increase. In the job market, veterinarians and veterinary care workers have been in short supply. In addition, the growing pet grooming, daily care, and pet schools provide a large number of career development opportunities.
