TAFE Queensland

From July 1, 2019, TAFE Queensland will increase the English course materials fee from the original AUD$88 (including GST) to AUD$110 (including GST) per level.

  1. From July 1, 2019, all newly issued offers with language courses will increase the material fee from the original AUD$88 (including GST) per level to AUD$110 (including GST) per level.
  2. Offers with a material fee of AUD$88 that have already been issued, regardless of the actual start date, will not be affected as long as they are accepted before the expiry date.
  3. Offers with a material fee of AUD$88 issued before July 1, if an extension is required after July 1, the updated offer will increase the material fee, except for visa, humanitarian care, or other uncontrollable factors.
  4. Students currently enrolled who request to extend the language course after July 1 will pay the material fee at the AUD$110 standard.

This adjustment mainly reflects the price changes of the textbooks used. After the adjustment, the material fee includes textbooks, workbooks, supplementary materials distributed in class, and the Cambridge Online Learning Centre for one year (regardless of the length of the language course), etc.

TAFE Queensland offers three types of English courses to international students: General English (GE), IELTS Preparation, and English Direct Entry Program (EAP). All courses are taught in small classes to ensure that every student receives enough attention and training.

IELTS Preparation and General English start every Monday. Students can choose to study in Brisbane Southbank, Gold Coast, and Sunshine Coast Mooloolaba. Students who wish to arrive early to adapt to the environment or prepare for IELTS can directly apply for General English or IELTS Preparation.

The Direct Entry Program starts four times a year, seamlessly connecting to the main course. According to the IELTS score, students can be matched with the Direct Entry Program or General English plus the Direct Entry Program. Students who successfully complete the Direct Entry Program do not need to take the IELTS test to enter the main course*.

The specific language entry requirements for the course are subject to the official website

Below are the upcoming start dates for TAFE Queensland's Direct Entry Program, which can be planned according to the situation and needs.
