  • 2.Visa sponsor requirements:In most cases, the applicant's spouse or de facto partner, the sponsor, must be: an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident, or an eligible New Zealand citizen. In addition, the sponsor of the 820 visa must meet the following requirements:
