820 Spouse sponsored visa

This visa is a spouse visa (also known as a partner visa, marriage visa, spouse immigration, etc.) submitted in Australia, which allows the de facto partner or spouse of Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents and eligible New Zealand citizens to immigrate to Australia and reunite with them. The 820 visa is the temporary residence stage of spouse immigration, also known as the first stage. • 2.Visa sponsor requirements:In most cases, the applicant's spouse or de facto partner, the sponsor, must be: an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident, or an eligible New Zealand citizen. In addition, the sponsor of the 820 visa must meet the following requirements:

  • The 820 visa requires a sponsor both when applying and after approval;
  • In most cases the sponsor is the partner of the principal applicant;
  • The Immigration Bureau needs to review the guarantor's situation and approve his/her guarantee qualifications;
  • The guarantor of the 820 visa cannot be changed. The guarantor must be the same person when the 820 is submitted and during the review process after submission (approximately 2 years).
