500 Onshore Student Visa

The Australian 500 visa is a type of visa required for international students to study in Australian schools. The issuance period of this visa is generally 1-5 years, depending on the duration of study. To apply for this visa, the applicant needs to provide materials that meet the Australian government's student visa standards and must go to Australia as a student. The application for an Australian student visa can be simply divided into applications within Australia and applications outside Australia according to the applicant's location. For applicants who already hold a valid Australian visa in Australia and whose visa is about to expire, most will choose to submit a visa application in Australia, which is what we usually call renewal. For applicants outside Australia, most will choose to submit a visa application outside Australia.

Differences between domestic and foreign countries: Generally, applying abroad is faster than applying domestically; because those in the country have a bridging visa, which allows them to stay legally until the visa is approved.

• 3.Hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), or fall into one of the exemption categories;

• 4.Must be 6 years of age or older;

• 5.If you are under 18, please provide proof that you have a welfare arrangement;

• 6.If you hold a valid substantive visa in Australia;

• 7.A substantive visa is no longer valid if another substantive visa is granted;

• 8.Applications are received in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) (or Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time (AEDST) where applicable).

  Get a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) from your school

  Prepare the documents required for student visa application

  Submit your student visa application online through immiaccount and pay the visa application fee

  

• Step 4

  Download the medical examination letter after successful submission

  

• Step 5

  Choose the medical examination hospital designated by the Immigration Bureau to make an appointment for the medical examination

  

• Step 6

  Prepare telephone survey (mainly for GTE)

  

• Step 7

  After completing the medical examination within 28 days, wait for the visa result and get the visa approval letter (electronic visa)
